Fast double axles.

I can tell you right now that this trick is CAKE. I have only done it with my Quantum (bridle set to radical.), but I have a strong feeling that the trick can be done with most sport kites.

The first thing you need to know is that I do the axle using a single line input. I get a very flat axle with a good-looking end position (nose down belly down).

The single line is just like whipping a wave in a rope, then taking it back real quick.
Forget about giving slack to the other line. I don’t need to do it and my axles are flat and perfect.

This trick is not just a double axle. It’s a double axle from a slow to medium speed pass (NO STALL). So when I said that the trick is CAKE, you might now be seeing how it can be so easy.

OK, on your pass, slack, then jerk the lower wing line (yes I said jerk). You should get two fast flat axles ending with the nose of the kite FLAT (not up like you see in most axles). In some cases depending on wind and line slack at the end of the trick I’ve ended up in the turtle position and in the fade position. I could easily say that I meant to do that, but those little combos just happened.

If you can’t remember to trick the lower wing, then you’re screwed… No I’m kidding. Just remember if you are tracking left, trick with your left hand and right hand for tracking right.

When I first tried this I was not trying to do a double axle, I just wanted to see what would come of doing an axle while making a pass. I am very happy with what I learned and even though I know the axle is old news, I think this trick is worth a shot.

I’m sure most of you do this or something like it, but I have not seen any instructions on how to do this trick anywhere. I know of the double axle and the axle without a stall, but I have not heard of this trick. It only makes sense, however that someone will have put two and two together before I ever did. I am not trying to jump claim on this trick. I just want people to know how to do it (How I do the trick anyway).

If you know how to do a trick, PLEASE open a thread and tell people how to do it.
Not everyone is a master pilot.

Thank you for reading

Genie pop
From a ground pass (say left..right) as the kite passes the center push with lower hand slightly, then pop an Axle with the lower hand, do it hard. As this is done under power you may well need to pop the upper hand shortly after to get the kite to flip around. A perfect execution gives a VERY flat double axel and kite flies off in other direction.
This move looks best if you do it near the ground as the kite drifts across the ground as it spins, but of course it can be done somewhat higher up as well. If you get it wrong you will get a Lazy Susan. (so your on a winner no matter what)

There are a lot of other things to learn while you're on Peter's site.
Albeit none of the 'new' stuff

It's nice to know that someone is writing this stuff down and posting it, but it would be nice if everyone could tell us about the tricks they do and how they do them.
