what is a good "all around" length for stunting and general flying. I bought a new kite and the lines were so short my reaction time is cut wayyy down. is there any advantage to learning with these short leads, or should I give myself a break an tye on some longer ones??

Most people will say its a matter of personal choice. But I also find longer lines give me more reaction time. I generally use 80' lines for lighter winds, 100' for medium winds, and 125' for stronger winds or when I want to work a larger edge of the window. The light, medium, strong wind is open to your own interpretation. Shorter lines are also nice for learning/practicing new tricks as you get a closer view of what the kite and lines are doing.
What type of kite are you flying? That will also make difference on speed of tricks and reaction time as well.
Take care

an addiction.........so a set of 85' would be a good "all around" length. |
