My fault for flying it in near 40km/h winds today.
I lost the stopper on one of the bottom spreaders. Can I still fly it? Is there a simple fix (glue something on?)
Thanks!

Steve,
The quickest temporary fix is to wrap electrical tape around the spar several times, making a thick build-up of tape. Line the edge of the tape up where the edge of the stopper was before. You can use the other bottom spreader for comparison, to see where the stopper should go.
A better fix if you don't have a local kite store, is to go to a building supply store and buy a short piece of black or clear vinyl tubing. Most building supplies sell various types of rubber and vinyl tubing on rolls, and you buy it by the length that you want, and they charge you a small amount per cm/ft. Bring the spreader with you so that you can use the spreader to slide into the tubing, to make sure you have a snug/tight fit. Once you get home with the tubing, slice of a piece that is the same width as the original stopper (refer to other spreader for size). Then, mark the spreader with a pen or pencil, where the edge of the stopper should be, then slide the vinyl tubing slice onto the spreader, then super glue sufficiently. Voila, you now have a new stopper. _________________ Troy Gunn - TKO Sport Kite Team - USA
