Phillip McConnachie brings over 20 years experience in kite making and kite flying. He started making kites at the age of 14 in Ashburton, New Zealand. At this age he became a part time employee for Peter Lynn Kites and became Production and Innovation Manager 8 year later. Phillip is credited with building the World's Largest Kite according to the Guinness World Records - The Mega Ray (66m x 40m).
He currently resides in Adelaide, Australia and operates The Kite Factory with his wife Anne Marie Parry.
